The first-ever collaboration of K-POP Collection, Tokyo Girls Collection and Singapore’s styleXstyle Collection, was held on 22 June in Singapore Expo, showcasing outfits from the 20 leading fashion labels in Asia.

Tokyo Girls Collection presented a variety of vibrant, summery and funky outfits – from fluorescent skirts to floral-patterned dresses that are perceived to be the next trend in Japanese street fashion.  Top Japanese pop artists AI, Thelma Aoyama and Mai Kuraki also hyped up the show with their powerful performances.

Subsequently, the elegantly dressed models of the Korean cosmetic brand “Tony Moly” took an innovative approach and showered tiny product samples at the audiences as they strutted down the catwalk.

K-Pop Collection displayed an assortment of classy, edgy and feminine styles that got the audiences’ eyes fixated on the captivating fashion of the runway models. models white

Then, the much-anticipated K-Pop girl band 2NE1 took the stage by storm with their explosive song “Fire” and captured the fans with their charismatic stage presence.2ne1

Next-up, the audiences were greeted by the familiar faces of Singapore’s very own mediacorp artistes like Michelle Chong, Tay Ping Hiu, Zoey Tay, Jayley Woo and many others, presenting clothes from the local brands. Emerging local labels such as Reckless Ericka and Mash-up showcased very distinctive styles that were not the cookie-cutter stereo fashion.

For the final act of the show, the immensely popular Korean girl group Girls’ Generation came on stage receiving warm welcome from the large number of fans present at the scene. The girls successfully ended the 5-hour show with their sparkly performance of their grand hit single “Gee”.

The top models from Japan (Lena Fuji, Tsubasa Masukawa, Akimoto Kozue), Korea and Singapore, dominated the runway with a diverse range of wearable female apparels that stole the hearts of many young women.
