We all love watching music videos of our favourite artists, but why don’t we take a break from admiring our singers and try laughing at them instead. Though these parodies may not have the singers in them, it sure does make one wish that they were. Here’s a list of some of the best parodies we’ve found on youtube.

1) Call Me Maybe – The Key Of Awesome

The sweet and cute Carly Rae Jepsen has been transformed into a scary and obsessed maniac who’s in love with a guy she just met at a party. This video with an all male cast is sure to get you cracking up at both the lyrics and the video.

2) Wrinkled Ladies

Move aside Beyonce, there are new queens in town. This parody stars middle-aged ladies singing about loving their sagging and wrinkling skin, all of which comes with old age. A perfect video to watch with your mothers or grandmothers to see the brighter side of growing old with confidence!

3) Oppa Indian Style

A local parody of the famous Gangnam Style by Korean singer Psy, this song will leave you grinning from ear to ear. Filmed in Little India with cameos from store owners, this video plays out some of the famous Indian stereotypes. Played out with light-hearted humour, many Singaporeans would be able to identify with it.

 4) What Makes You Beautiful – The Key Of Awesome

A band famous for their notorious parody videos, The Key of Awesome often takes stabs at famous artists, and this time round popular british boyband One Direction is their target. Now, don’t you worry my dear Directioners, this video is not a personal stab the the british cuties, but more of a light-hearted joke. So take a chance and watch it, you might just fall for the new “One Direction” boys!

 5) I Knew You Were Trouble (Goat Version)

Turning Taylor Swift’s heartbroken themed songs into one of the most hilarious and replayed video, this song will have you cracking up every time the goat bleats. Probably, the best perk-me-up video, there are actually various goat-laden tracks lying around YouTube, but this Taylor Swift rendition has got to be the best out there.
