New Zealand School of Dance_Continuum Dance Exchange by Stephen A’Court

Continuum Dance Exchange

Lasalle College of the Arts, the Singapore Airlines Theatre

For one night only, young dancers from institution and conservatories will come together for a spirited dance exchange. With new generation of talents from LASALLE College of the Arts, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) and School of the Arts (SOTA) coming together, they will be presenting their latest works from guest choreographers.

International guest line-up this year will feature the Korean National University of the Arts, Victoria College of the Arts in Melbourne, and the New Zealand School of Dance. Tickets available on sistic from $22.

Lasalle College of the Arts, the Singapore Airlines Theatre

Co-presented by T.H.E and the National Arts Council, a very special edition of DiverCity will be presented to showcase 8 definitive works by some of the most prolific traditional and contemporary dance companies here in Singapore. A one-stop performance platform for local and international audiences, this is a venue for which they can get in touch with Singapore’s vibrant dance scenes.

Choreography Workshop by Ong Yong Lock (suitable for dancers of all levels)
9-12 December (4-days), 7.30pm
T.H.E Dance Studo @ Goodman Arts Centre

Beginning with group exercises and to derive different movements from daily motions such as jogging or even spinning, participants are expected to gain better control of their body and stillness in movements to create interesting interactions with others. For those with dance background/experiences, you may be recruited from the workshop to join dancers from Unlock Dancing Plaza together in a choreographic work to be performed in M1 Open Stage (12 December 5.30pm).

Currently there are early bird discounts, however this will end by the end of October.
For those interested in catching all 9 shows, there are Festival Passes available as well, which will allow the pass holders to watch any 9 performances at the festival for one special price.
