Retrofitted with the latest 8k full-dome digital theatre system, the revamped Omni-theatre at the Singapore Science Centre offers goers a greater immersive experience than before. Expect tons of stunning graphics and crisp sounds, where audience would be able to go on a space exploration from the comfort of their seats!
During the screening of “live” shows, one of the science educators, Yong, guided us through the depths of our great universe. With real time presentations, we were able to explore the Solar System to the Milky Way galaxy in ‘Cosmic Surfing’ and delve into the many intricate planetary features of Earth, Mars, Venus and Saturn in ‘Exploring the Planets’. He shared many interesting trivia, piquing the audience’s curiosity and interest about astronomy. Further, travel to the moon in ‘Back to the Moon for Good’ and find out more behind the Moon’s rich histories and future possibilities for lunar exploration.
The upgraded Omni- Theatre officially opens on May 30th at the Science Centre Singapore. Visitors can enjoy a plethora of “live shows” and digital full-dome movies pertaining to astronomy, as well as other IMAX movies about animals.
