TheatreWorks opens its Women & Voice Season 2019/2020 with a commission of ’Til The End Of The World, We’ll Meet In No Man’s Land, conceived, written and performed by local indie-pop singer-songwriter Inch Chua. Inspired by Inch’s recent expedition to Antarctica, ’Til The End Of The World, We’ll Meet In No Man’s Land examines the human condition and the space between passive optimism and hopeless analysis that comes with facing climate change.
One of 80 individuals per year in the world to gain access, Inch recently travelled to the
seventh continent of the world, as a part of 2041’s International Antarctic ClimateForce
Expedition led by veteran world explorer, Robert Swan and his son Barney Swan. ’Til The End Of The World, We’ll Meet In No Man’s Land is a cumulation of Inch’s stories and experiences from that adventure.
For this commission, Inch presents her very first full-length script and combined it with her own original compositions. Be prepared for a multi-sensory performance presented with “in-your-ear” binaural technology experienced through individual headphones for each audience member. Marvel at the beautiful spatial and costume design and be transported into the storyline with a variety of scents or odours.
