THE FATHER is a theatrically thrilling exploration of a 70-year-old man’s deteriorating mind as he sinks under the frightening weight of dementia. Being called “a savagely honest study of dementia”, the part family drama, part thriller, part mind-bending puzzle story is told with gripping suspense and brutal honesty as it illustrates who Andre becomes as his mental faculties start to fracture. Walk in Andre’s shoes as his perception of the world around him starts to warp and crumble.
Explored from the perspective of the person with dementia, Pangdemonium hopes the piece will start conversations and raise awareness about dementia support options.
Nominated for Best Play at the Olivier and Tony Awards, THE FATHER stars Lim Kay Siu, Tan Kheng Hua, Janice Koh, Frances Lee, Emil Marwa and Keagan Kang. This version, translated by the Tony Award winning Christopher Hampton (Les Liaisons Dangereuses), is directed by Tracie Pang.
Tickets via SISTIC: $30-$70
