Skechers Blacklight Run 2017: What to look out for

The Skechers Blacklight Run makes its return to our shores on 28 October 2017 for its second edition with additional Instagram-worthy photo opportunities and recognised regional DJs who will be spinning at the event’s exciting post-run party.

Having attracted some 7,000 last year, this year’s Blacklight Run promises to be bigger— and brighter. Participants of the run will meander the course of Sentosa’s beautiful Palawan Green and pass through designated Blacklight Zones, where they will be doused in the 100% natural and non-toxic Glow Powder, in vibrant hues of green, pink and orange. Participants may want to stop to snap an Instagram-worthy shot of these zones, which will be bursting with a psychedelic blend of different colours.

Runners will be treated to a scenic race course, with neon lights adorning the path. The event, which prides itself as the most Instagrammable 5K run, blends music, fitness and colour seamlessly. After completing the run, participants can look forward to a memorable and electrifying after-party.

Three regional acts will be hyping up the crowd at this year’s run. DJ Lady Punch, hailing from the land of smiles, promises to wow the crowd with her intoxicating beats. Regular DJ from the distinguished Zouk KL, DJ Hypeembeats, who was the opening act for internationally-renowned acts Dash Berlin and Hardwell, will be performing as well.

From home, we have DJ Momo, resident DJ at one of Clarke Quay’s hottest night spots, FClub. Looking at the music lineup for the night, the after party will certainly be a night you won’t forget.

Local heartthrob and star of the local movie series Ah Boys To Men, Joshua Tan, has come onboard as the race ambassador, and will be hosting the VIP contingent of the fun run. Participants will also get the exclusive opportunity to get up close and personal with the
celebrity.

As it is not a competitive run, even amateur runners can participate in this memorable event.

Standard admission to the Blacklight Run costs $60 per person and comes with a fun pack,
which includes a commemorative Skechers Blacklight Run t-shirt, race bib and admission to the Skechers Blacklight Run After-Party.
