“All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small…”

On the evening of the 13th of December, the entire Esplanade Concert Hall was greeted with an array of beautiful and young voices from the Singapore Lyric Opera Children’s Choir alongside with the Nanyang Children’s Choir for the performance of “All Things Bright and Beautiful”. Under the professional baton of Rose Loh and guest conductor Joyce Beetuan Koh, the chorus sent the audience rolling into the season of sharing and giving as various numbers were presented from both traditional and classical renditions of carols.

The program was so aptly and beautifully chosen to reflect what us, as humans really need to be reminded of within this bustling society – compassion, friendship, peace and love. In addition, the clean and resonating voices of the various children choral combinations have successfully brought out hopeful spirit of the season as well as to reflect the innocence behind the spirit of giving and love. To end it off, the choir invited the spontaneous audience to join in a joyous time of caroling with an encore that was asked by the satisfied audience. This concert is by no means a star program of the season and will certainly be anticipated by many in the coming Christmas!

“All things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all”
