International singer Christina Perri returned to Singapore after three years for one night only and boy, did she returned with style!

Held at The Coliseum, Hard Rock Hotel in Sentosa, the concert was attended by fans of all ages. Even though the American singer-songwriter came onto the stage half an hour late, it was worth the wait. Performing alongside her talented band members, Christina Perri hyped up the Coliseum of Hard Rock Hotel with a combination of old and new songs, making a grand entry with the hit I don’t wanna break.

Equipped with powerful vocals and a bubbly personality, she heightened the atmosphere and swayed the the audience with not only her songs but her stories. In between each song, she took time to interact with audience and even joked that Singapore’s humidity is “really good for the skin but not so good for the hair”. She later sang Burning gold, Human and Words from her latest, Head or Heart album(2014) and the duet Be my forever with her lead guitarist was simply stunning. The audience clapped along to her songs such as  Arms and Distance and among all songs performed, the crowd enjoyed A Thousand Years the most, singing alongside with Christina and were most delighted when she complimented them to be good at singing it. Personally, her covers of Sky full of stars (Coldplay) and Thinking out loud (Ed Sheeran) were the most enjoyable.

The audience showed constant love and support by singing the slower numbers, dancing to the groovier ones and flashing their phone lights in interaction with her on stage. Overall, the concert was enthralling and I’m sure Singapore audience will be more than happy to welcome Christina back soon. When the music stopped, curtains closed and audience gradually dispersed, the memory of the night never ceased replaying. It was a memorable night.
