As if listening to children sing isn’t joyous enough, the Singapore Lyric Opera Children’s Choir presents Where Love Is, a concert for this festive season. The choir consisting of professionally trained individuals will be bringing you songs that will definitely warm your heart.

“I think we’ve chosen some wonderful music this time round, which are not just beautiful, but a challenge for the children as well,” says Adrian Poon, the conductor for the Singapore Lyric Opera Children’s Choir.

Songs about love, hope, charity and goodwill will be echoing through the concert hall on the 8th December, ushering the spirit of Christmas.

The concert is a programme by a project called Singing For All. The project was initiated by the Singapore Lyric Opera, hoping to bring singing to everyone. “We want to develop the joy of singing, and show the various groups we work with that singing can be a very enlightening part of life,” adds Adrian. As for the children, Adrian hopes they would enjoy themselves, and be challenged by the good repertoire.

The Singing For All programme was started primarily to encourage like-minded students and young people not only to develop a deeper appreciation for singing, but it also provides opportunities for life skills training, confidence building, development of interpersonal skills, leadership training opportunities and more.

“This is a new project of the Singapore Lyric Opera and we hope in time to come that we will be able to impact many students Programme. I would love to see this programme grow because I fully believe it can work,” Adrian states.

Where Is Love will commence on the 8th of December 2012 at the Esplanade Concert Hall.
